Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

April 29, Reviews and initiates appropriate procurement action for all material requirements on assigned programs. Assists with material forecasting and the establishing of manual reorder point levels within the plant.
Engages Pre-Shop Analysis PSA and quality personnel when required in order to ascertain if substitute parts are available or acceptable. Seeks lateral support from other government agencies when required for material support. Assists with the program cost and closure process to identify and make appropriate usage decisions for material requisitions that are outstanding. Participate in Production Transformation Team Meetings and communicate the status of parts that have been requisitioned or received.
Monitors on hand inventory and requisition quantities to prevent excess material inventory and coordinates action to retain material for ongoing or future program requirements when applicable. Initiates and coordinates actions required for changing information used in the procurement of materials based on Depot Overhaul Factor DOF , upgrade priorities, quantity changes, program changes, or the availability of repairable assets.
Identifies the cause of delays, and recommends corrective actions e. Note: The immediate supervisor is responsible for initiating requests for promotion actions. Knowledge of procedures, principles, and approaches used in production data analysis; and the ability to correlate, organize, and analyze a variety of production data and processes to support workload requirements for a wide range of industrial operations, including automated systems.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to plan and coordinate overall work requirements of the job that impact industrial operations Depot-wide. The logistic management specialist is expected to analyze the production requirements, coordinate the job scheduling, and funding and handle problems and deviations in accordance with instructions, policies, and previous training, or accepted practices. Completed work is usually evaluated for technical soundness, efficient use of resources, and resolution of normal scheduling, funding, or order number problems.
The incumbent must use judgment in locating and selecting the guidelines applicable to the current situation. The guidelines may have to be adapted to specific cases. Situations requiring significant deviations from existing guidelines are referred to the supervisor. The incumbent must determine what needs to be done based on an objective evaluation of the situation, taking into consideration past practices.
Results of the work impact the effectiveness of Depot wide operations. The goal is to achieve and maintain desired production levels for products that meet or exceed the original specifications and terms of acceptability established by the customer, and are consistent with efficient and economic operations. Contacts are normally done telephonically, written, automated correspondence, and in meetings either in work situations or conferences.
Purpose of contacts is to obtain, clarify, or give facts, status, or give technical information about labor, machines, materials or specific operations concerning the production, overhaul, or repair of a product.
